So the first one went well (a $5/45), i put my QQ into AA, that was that then…*sighs* I told you it was a tough road, the highs are great and the lows are very very boring!!
At this point, with the anticipation of having to write a blog about how im really good at losing at poker - i tighten my game up and switch on a bit. “I WILL REPORT GOOD NEWS” im saying to myself.
Then…the second one (a $10/45), goes pretty much the same way, i run my so called monster into a flopped straight…..*sighs much louder*
and the third one….has a few notable hands. I look down at AA, some guys rasies, i 3 bet, he 4 bets (i know, he should shove as its not so deep), i 5 bet shove…im pretty sure hes got KK…..and low and behold he flips KK. I bink an ace on the flop so there is my early double up. Right time to push people around a bit, prey on the weak, avoid the nits…..(or raise the hell out of them if theyre proper nitty, fold is all i want to see). That goes well for a while, my 1500 starting stack is 2800 for quite a while, picking up a few pots, passing a few blinds….as one does!
By the way my username is “The Dozza”, not sure i mentioned that before, if you want to play on FullTilt and youre not registered already give me a shout, ill point you in the right direction to get the best deals. Also if you just want to rail me then feel free, pop by and say HI…
So my 2800 becomes 7200 from taking on some small stacks with ok hands, they hold and im now on almost average chips for the Final Table. Sit tight son, sit tight! :)
I hit the final table with 7000, average is 7500, so thats ok. I generally tighten up a bit as soon as we hit the FT because the shortstacks start getting silly and shoving their chips about. Which they duly oblige! Down to 8 left after 1 hand on the FT.
I look down at KK, 3 hands into the FT, some guy shoves 5000 chips, i shove my 6000, he flips AQ and of course rivers the ace. Game over, no cash, no nothing. I join the rest of the donks. I even took a screen capture for you to enjoy….

Now im going to leave it there………
until next time!
